Did I say yesterday this was fun?? Hmmm. I had some wicked sweet cravings last night. I ate a piece of protein to try and staunch the craving. Then I went to my go-to safe sweet – hot cocoa powder with stevia and coconut milk. Then I had to remove myself from the TV and go read a book in another room.
Part of this was created by going too long without eating in the middle of the day. I got caught at an appointment without a healthy snack – which I almost never do – but my healthy snack used to be a protein bar, and I’m not eating those. So I have to figure out some healthy, portable snacks that don’t involve sugar, sweeteners, soy, corn, wheat, peanuts, dairy, eggs. I suppose some almonds and fruit would be good.
Lessons: TV and eating/are a dangerous combo; Sugar is not my friend and may have to stay out of my diet permanently!
That sweet craving is really hard. I try to use the substitution technique where you pick something else instead. Good luck!
